In this highly competitive job market, professionals need to distinguish themselves above the rest. Well trained leaders are needed to address front of mind issues such as risk mitigation, security concerns, and regulatory compliance, as well as raise the bar with regard to productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and team morale.

Many organizations who hire personnel in the electronic documents space place considerable value in Electronic Document Professionals. EDP’s are hired first and receive higher salaries than un-certified colleagues (according to information gathered by a US placement firm). In some cases, Government tenders mention EDP certification as a rated or mandatory requirement to perform work. In addition, the EDP network provides valuable expertise to draw upon in your work, and contacts throughout the world.

acadami helps EDP candidates prepare for, navigate and complete the Xplor International submission process and secure their EDP certification. The workshop hels senior personnel within the transaction document industry plan their training path to full professional status. The student will learn to identify their role within the industry, what skills they currently possess to perform that role, what training they need to perform at a professional level, and how to prepare their work examples.

Students will participate in four two-hour workshop sessions.

  1. Understanding your skills: includes understanding the Body of Knowledge, understanding skill levels, determining location within career sectors, education plan based on grid/sector self-assessment, and homework
  2. Self-assessment: includes picking the best work examples, creating the work example documentation, training plan, and homework
  3. Successful work examples: includes be kind to evaluators, I versus we
  4. Mentor breakout: reviewing first work examples and homework
  5. Expanding your personal skills: includes workshop webcast wrap-up and location breakout

These sessions are usually held approximately one month apart. Students must have earned their Electronic Document Associate (EDA) accreditation. In addition, they must be an acadami Transaction Document School graduate, or attain 85% on acadami Transaction Document School equivalency exam. Students must have been engaged in the Transaction Document industry for least five years.
