acadami™ Announces Document Production Best Practices programs in Canada

Richardson, Texas, April 28, 2008 – acadami™ has announced the dates and time for the first offerings of its new Document Production Best Practices program, to be held in Canada in May 2008. Xplor has already certified the Document Production Best Practices program and has authorized acadami to award one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) to attendees for successful completion. The course focuses on the concepts, technologies, and best practices associated with automated transaction document production. The modules will take the student from Data to Doorstep.

The Document Production Best Practices program is the first course that awards CEUs that is approved for delivery in the field by Xplor International. Xplor Canada will sponsor the initial course events in May. The venues include:

  • Ottawa – May 5
  • Montreal – May 6
  • Toronto – May 8
  • Calgary – May 13
  • Vancouver – May 14

Plans are underway to offer courses shortly in the United States and Europe.

The new Best Practices workshop was developed and will be taught through the collaboration of industry experts Bill Broddy edp, William J. ‘Bill’ McCalpin edp, and Michael Turton edp.

Dr Michael Turton has been designing documents for over two decades during which time he witnessed the birth of desktop printing and laser production printers. He established Cavendish Consultants in 1992, principally to design mission critical transactional documents and forms. His designs not only look good but work well, a combination of form and function.
